In line with its growth strategy, Vestel has invested in a 1 million capacity television plant in Russia in December 2002.

The plant is located in Alexandrov, 120 km north east of Moscow, on a 120,000 square meter area, of which 40,000 square meters is closed. The production is set to start end of August.

The television market in Russia is estimated around 6 million units, and Vestel is aiming at capturing a 17% market share within 2 years time
