Turkey is giving signals of a powerful and stable economic development. Thanks to the increased competitive power and dominancy of many a Turkish brand in global markets, high export rates and an ever increasing vibrancy in industrial production, Turkish economy has been developing constantly in recent years. Our next goal should be to determine our priorities in order to ensure the continuation of economic stability as well as the future of our country. We must focus on Small and Medium Sized Enterprises, which are vital for employment. Budgetary stability should be another one of our primary concerns, as is grasping the importance of the privatization process. We must focus on the future of Turkey.
Original and permanent brands are made by strong institutions. Our powerful corporation, with formidable exports and employment capacity, add value to the Turkish economy and through this we continue to grow alongside our economy.
Thanks to our investments during 2003, the 50th anniversary of Zorlu Group and the 80th of the Republic of Turkey, we have come ever closer to its aim of growing with its country.
Vestel’s ranking as the number one exporter in Turkey, the successful classifications of Zorlu Companies in the ISO and the once utopian Vestel City are all permanent investments in our country’s future. Behind this success lie our production capacity, our R&D capability; in short, 50 years of hard work. We believe that a Turkish breakthrough and the realization of her potential both lie in production and R&D. We believe that this is the only way in which we can all contribute to the emergence of Turkey as a great power.
Vestel’s production exceeded 15 million in 2005 with an export turnover of over €2.2 billion. Our targets for 2006 are 23 million in production and € 3 billion in export revenue as well as continuing our position as the number 1 exporter in the country. Our accomplishments vouch for all that we will achieve in the future.
We are very proud that thanks to our formidable know-how, R&D and global production facilities we are able to globally brand the meaning of Vestel as “Turkish for Technology”. We are investing in tomorrow.
